HOTPIT Autofest has announced a major new media project with RACER Network that will bring the culture of drifting to television in a way it has never been seen before.
The project, HOTPIT The Drift Series, produced by StevStreet Entertainment and Stulac Marketing, represents the culmination of this collaboration and introduces audiences to the personalities, stories, and culture that power the HOTPIT community.
Stev Stephens of StevStreet Entertainment, part of an award‑winning production team with experience producing content for globally recognized programs such as American Ninja Warrior and The Amazing Race, helped develop the storytelling approach for the series. The project aims to deliver a documentary‑style look into the real lives of the people who build the drifting world.
Rather than focusing solely on what happens on the track, the series will pull back the curtain on the culture behind the sport — the drivers, the builders, the photographers, the organizers, and the community that fuels one of motorsport’s fastest‑growing disciplines: drift competition.
The production team has chosen the unique environment of HOTPIT Autofest as the centerpiece for the project. Known for blending grassroots competition, lifestyle culture, and fan interaction, HOTPIT provides the perfect setting to tell authentic stories from inside the drifting community.
The project was developed with support from Drift Illustrated Magazine, whose editorial access and deep connection within the drifting community helped bring together many of the personalities and stories featured in the pilots.
The upcoming project will begin with two pilot episodes designed to showcase the depth and personality of the sport. These pilots will introduce audiences to the human side of drifting — the passion, the sacrifices, and the personalities that define the culture.
The pilots are scheduled to premiere March 19 on RACER Network, where they will be broadcast to a nationwide motorsports audience numbering in the millions.
“Drifting has always been about more than competition,” said Jeff Jones, co‑founder of Hotpit Autofest. “It’s about the people and the culture that make the sport what it is. This project gives audiences a chance to experience that side of drifting.”
Executive producer Stev Stephens added, “Our goal was to capture the real energy behind the drifting world — the drivers, the community, and the stories that make the culture so compelling.”
The two pilot episodes will premiere March 19 at 6 PM PT on RACER Network, reaching a nationwide audience of motorsports fans.
The episodes feature members of the drifting community including TJ Hunt, Collette Davis, Rome Charpentier, Dino Child, Casey Chavez, James MacManaway, Dustyn Farrell, Logan Hunter, Blaize Potts, Kyle Mohan, Justin Leonard, Brandon Marina, and many more.
The production also features music performed by S8NT ELEKTRIC from their soon‑to‑be‑released album OFF THE EDGE, courtesy of Long Branch Records, adding to the energy and storytelling of the episodes.
The series is developed as a high-stakes docu-style narrative, designed to do for drifting what elite motorsport documentaries have done for global racing audiences—this time by highlighting the raw grassroots culture and behind-the-scenes struggles that define the sport.
Special thanks to the HOTPIT drivers who participated in interviews and contributed their stories and experiences to the creation of this series.
